I guess your point will become valid if Fuji ever decides to make their lenses for K mount...

Like amateur painters, many photographers get caught up with fancy effects rather than context. Art is about meaning and not how fuzzy your backgrounds are. How many of the people posting on these forums ask themselves what the shot actually means?
I'm sure you will enjoy my f/1.2 shots then: no sharp eyelashes -- usually no sharp anything, in fact!

It is in Sigma's best interest to have competitors for Canon and Nikon, especially since Nikon offers long lens warranties and Canon is hardest to reverse engineer.

Hi
In general I quite agree with what you are trying to say, but as an educated man (which undoubtedly you are) I only wish you hadn't uses the photo's plural with an apostrophe.

P.S. I have a similar problem I can never get live and life sorted.

Let the poisoned darts fly.

Greetings

.. new Photos

Deat all,

I want to share some new Photos here.

Though I was said to shot much like Macro only ans hence it was impossible to judge the Bokeh of this lens, I think I did right.

To isolate frontobjects from the background is the main use for such a lens and thus, you often have larger thing in the front and the background is farther off. Nonetheless, I horp, that my newly added Photos show some or this superb lens.

It is razor sharp from f 1.4, unfortunately, the pictures, that are not sharpened for the forum too aggressive, canīt give rendition to that. But they are great in original! YOu can believe that.

SO enjoy.

Best from Germany

Georg

PS
This time I used LR, OnOne and TOPAZ to alter my pictures slightly, but in essence they are untouched.

Very nice shots. I don't have too many complains with the bokeh.

Although that shot of the reeds is a case of some serious purple fringing !

The way it renders is just so different from Pentax lenses.
But it looks like a lens done right. Has many advantages over the DA 35mm. It has 9 rounded aperture blades, distance scales, its significantly faster, apparently very sharp, great build, looks good.. definitely a very attractive lens for Pentaxians, even if its pretty big compared to Pentax primes

Hey guys, I got the Sigma 35 a few days ago, and I did a quick comparison between the wide open bokeh for both the Sigma and the FA 31 limited. You can check out the thread here:

More Sigma tests. These shots are looking for the onion ring in lights. They are pretty much what I've seen in the numerous examples around. I did a quick garage setup with just a garage light overhead and what you see in the background.

ISO 100, f2, Exposure comp -2/3EV

At closer inspection you can see it on ones that don't have clipped lights. I guess if you make large prints...

And here is using the lens more candidly. So if you shoot these kinds of shots all the time, having a lens with gaussian blurred spheres might be more appealing.

ISO 2800, f1.6, Exposure comp -1EV

ISO 1600, f2.2, Exposure Comp -1EV

Kona makes really good beer. The Fire Rock Pale is one of my favorite pale ales....

And the lens looks really good too.

completely pointless lens for an APS-C system - oversized in any dimensions
+1
And it has a huge weight.
This is sold as a lens, but it's actually a motor with glass in the middle.

What should not be forgotten is that compared to the 31ltd the sigma35 is considerably cheaper, has a modern focussing system ( no noisy screw) and the lenssoftware can be updated. Moreover it is 1.4 in stead of 1.8, quite a difference. That it is built like a tank or motor with glass inside does not bother me at all. Give me a tank anyday!
