I think it isn't ugly, but looks matters much less than ergonomics, which unfortunately was not quite good enough for me. I hope the new one will solve that problem.

In the UK carp are considered the most challenging 'coarse' angling fish. They are the biggest freshwater fish in the UK, and also pretty wiley, so individual fish get reputations and names. Pretty much no one eats them...

Not only that, but the ergonomics are terrible. Have you ever tried holding on to one?

Carp?? Fishing?? Whisk(e)y?? Cigars? I thought this was a pure photography forum (but it's much more interesting than that). All Pentax needs to do is introduce a FF camera with a built-in extendible fishing rod, hip flask and humidor. That should satisfy a lot of people!

Great idea ... wonder what Canikon would respond to such a bold marketing move ! J

( PS - Don't forget the lighter and cigar trimmer ...)

How about a willow EverReady case that doubles as a creel?

Won't be 5 cameras, I believe the original source was miss interpreted or mistranslated. A later note states that the line will have 5 dslrs in it after this announcement. And no full frame lenses are needed.

Will they mount on the flash bracket or as a grip attachment?

Yes, it did not work well. I agree the ergonomics need improved, perhaps a better handstrap attachment near the tail?

I just think they should have used better non-slip materials.

I'd be curious to know who she is, and where she gets her information from.

Too fast, by the way.

K-30 and K-5II are rather advanced cameras....
Not really. I see myself as a logical buyer for a K-3. I have a K-5 and resisted the temptation to buy a K5-II as I thought it was
'too similar' to the K5, and suspected that since it was a facelift model, that the real successor to the K5 would be along fairly
quickly. Current rumors are consistent with my expectations.

Carp is a challenging fish on a fly rod.
Well said and fight hard!
