This doesn't bode well for the K-3 being all that interesting. It looks like we'll probably be getting basically a K-5II with a 24mp sensor, maybe a new body, but nothing radical if it's going to replace the K-5II.
It should be a new body if it follows the pattern (k10/20d, k7/5). I say it isn't too soon because the K5ii/s really is an incremental update. Not only was it just some internal upgrades, but it was also released at at 25% cheaper MSRP (expect the K-3 to be back to the real MSRP, or close to it). Not to mention it has already been discounted several times, and they have the current, awesome rebates going on with the limited lenses, all designed to move inventory and make way for the latest and greatest! I won't be buying myself, but it should be the first truly ricoh release, and I expect it will be a pretty nice update to the flagship. Just my thoughts!
