Photography Bay.com talks about the new Pentax dslrs

Hello everyone,
Photography Bay.com reports that Pentax can be making as many as 5 dslrs in the coming months with the first one possibly being announced by the end of the month. It is rumored that the prices will range from $400 to 2000 dollars. Pentax is also rumored to be making a compact aps-c model like the Nikon Coolpix A but it is supposed to be cheaper. They are not sure if the Full Frame model that so many of Pentaxians have been wailing for is one of the five.

Not really surprising: K-30, K-5 II, K-5 IIs, K-3 and K-3s.

It only shows how fast BS "rumors" are circling around the 'net

Nothing to see here, folks. It can't be even called a rumor, as rumors are based on something.

What do you want them to do on the K30 for video?

They should update the K5's for video...

Better compression or another codec would be nice. And in the K5 manual controls. The last firmware is two weeks old but it just updates the AF...

Interesting how everyone complained that the K-5 should've had the codec used now by the K-30, and now we want some other codec again? Please don't wonder why companies are reluctant to instantly cater to the whims of anyone who complains on the forums.

So there will be one for
400
800
1200
1600
2000
$

I would ask for specs rather than price - maybe it is time to get a K5Iis soon - that will soon become the 800/400 model and would well be worth it.
