B&H still has it listed... but as back-ordered. I just checked the Newegg listing at 12:36pm NYT on April 11th and it says "out of stock," not discontinued.

They may not be an AD but they do have a very wide range of Pentax gear - including binoculars and scopes. Their site says this on the upper right side of the listing for the 35/2.4

I doubt it too. This isn't a very old lens, just released in the last three years. Wouldn't make sense to discontinue it.

It is supposed to be optically the same as the FA 35/2.

Discontinued on newegg.com probably just mean that the might not sell that lens anymore. So discontinued by newegg.com does not mean it's discontinued by Pentax.

Edit: Or this might just be the way newegg.com handles stuff with unknown delivery date.

Henrys, Aden Camera (Toronto) and Vistek are all showing it out of stock. I know Henry's hasn't had it for a while as it is a lens I'm interested in. One does have to wonder whether it is a production issue or an upcoming discontinuation?

Fair enough - although the lens is several years old, so you'd expect it to be listed on the site. This thread seemed to be rapidly turning into a rumor mill, and I"m not sure why I felt compelled to fuel it. As far as I can tell there is no definitive information one way or the other on the lens. On the same English Pentax site, you can see that the lens is still on the roadmap (whenever that was last updated).
