There's no sign or even space for an EVF port, so no VF-1.

If the GXR is discontinued, the VF-1 becomes defunct then unless they add an EVF port to any new K-02 or similar successor.

Ah! D'Oh!

I see it now - I just looked at the specs in the picture and didn't really see the error in what I had quoted

Too bad there is no mention of WR, that could've been a nice differentiator with the Nikon...
But the big driver, as always, will be price.

Has all the makings of an instant classic. With Ricoh's history of superb long term support for the GR, it's a not a leap of faith for potential purchasers either. Have to wonder about Canikon's commitment to such "novelty" items where they pose a threat to their DSLR ecosystems.

( Not sure Ricoh need worry about Pentax DSLRs, this GRD will probably be the model that buys Pentax some time and money to work on those )

Also interesting seeing the promo video and how recently and close to my house some of those photos were taken. The one below is about 5 minutes walk away from where I am typing this. It can only have been taken in the last 2 weeks, when the cherry blossom was in flower. I was there too once or twice ( with my K7 ) but didn't notice any furtive filming happening

All fine, but why would they shoot that video with a worn camera? Why would the hand model have scars all over the fingers?

And more specifically, where will it be priced relative to the Coolpix A?

If true, that is will be a nice shot across the bow to Nikon
Ricoh needs to get this camera in front of people's faces, and into stores where they can play with them.
