I've just had a phone call from Wellington Photographic Supplies, the K20D is due there Monday(10th) or Tuesday(11th).
The lowest advertised price I can find so far is $2,200 body only. Which isn't too bad. If I ordered from B&H it would be $US1300 plus $US60 shipping.
$US1360=$NZ1720.
Add GST (as you would have to pay it if buying from them) = $1935, plus another fee for brokerage or what ever it is, of probably around $50, it's near enough to $2000.
So an extra $200 for supporting locals and having easier access to repair etc is probably worth it.
