Well it does seems like the 1.7" was correct with the new Q7, this makes the current optics a little wider but they still work nicely. Actually from my perspective it does seems like the widened optics are more attractive.

A 21 - 85 could be a nice addition.

Well, a real small and bright pancake would be very welcome too IMO.

In a heartbeat!
However, it would need a good leaf shutter and ND filter inside.

Well Sigma proved convention wrong with their f/1.8 zoom. So I think it would be technically feasible to get a Q zoom lens with a max aperture of f/2 or a Q Limited lens with f/1.0 per se.

I don't have a Q yet, but Pentax seems committed to it and it's gotten lots of positive impressions after all the dust settled. Now with the Q7, it only serves to strengthen the camera's following.

I wouldn't want to have paid top dollar,
but the fire-sale classic Qs were a good deal.

As it happens, it's a Voigtlaender lens that I've used the most on the Q so far:
an SL II Apo-Lanthar 90/3.5 with the Pentax adapter.
For what super-tele use I do have, it saves my buying a DA* 300,
and of course you get better close focusing with the Q setup.
