We've had several instances where online retailers have listed Pentax gear as discontinued when it is not discontinued, just temporarily unavailable. I wouldn't take this as true until Pentax-Ricoh announces it. They've been very good about moving gear to their "Discontinued" list on their Japan website lately.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I can't recall B&H listing items as "discontinued" when they were really just temporary unavailable. Is my memory faulty (wouldn't be the first time!)?

Not sure if B&H has done so but we've had it happen several times with various retailers lately so I am naturally suspicious, particularly when Pentax Japan has been very up-to-date with their "Discontinued" section of their website.

I could not have been from PRIC, it was informative and not from Randall S.

They might be pulling the GXR from the US market only, who knows. This isn't the first rumor about it's complete discontinuation, however.

GXR is just listed as discountinued at BHPhoto...But there is GXR kit versions.
As for Russia, GXR is always in stock.

Maybe, GXR will be replaced with GXRII.

I thought for sure we were going to see a K-mount module for the GXR.

No any sense and it's unreal to make such module.

It makes more sense than the K-01, to me. But that's primarily an ergonomics decision. I'm not sure why it's 'unreal'.

To make AF module is insane move. To make MF module is the waste of money.
