And is it just me or does it look like that lens has no distance scale?

Agree -- seems to be a K-30 in a mag alloy body.

No DAL lens has a distance scale.

Also, is the brightness range better (1-18EV)?.
It's lower AF sensitivity range than on K-30, which has -1 - 18EV.

I don't mind this at all. I was planning to upgrade my K-x to K-30 anyway. Magnesium alloy body, stereo mic are welcome additions. I still hope they release an entry level DSLR like K-x.

I don't want to spoil the discussion, but isn't it a little too early to talk since there is absolutely no official news, threads on the web about it?

I honestly don't believe that there is going to be a model lower than K-30 or K-50 (as it is just a tad more than K-30)... since both are already priced at the entry level price anyway. Anything lower would be like the X-5 which is a bridge camera.

This is most likely an error from the seller. Pentax would've give them these images and description and some stock which sellers can list after some date. Seller looks like has listed the new camera before announcement.

I don't see a stereo input jack listed. Did I miss it?

It's a fantasy from someone who has looked too much to the plastic blobs from Nikon and Canon.
Pentax abandoned this design since the K-x.

I agree, the design is very canon'ish.
I much more prefer the strict-spartan design of the K-5.

At this point I have to think that, back around 2010, someone at Pentax accidentally placed an order for Sony 16MP sensors with an extra zero on the quantity. Ha ha, oops!

I think there is no room in the range for an entry level body
The K-30 / K-50 are definitively the entry-level bodies!
