Lol. No I getcha I can see how it's a her comment. I would much rather have a FF Pentax instead of investing in a new system... I like many just got tired of waiting. still love my K mount, and will not stop shooting Pentax.

Same here - I had an Olympus OM-D. I could not use the touch screen. Touch points were too small for my fingers and I did waste time having to redo things. So I just stopped using that feature. I also had problems manipulating the physical controls because they were a bit too small and closely spaced for my fingers, and I was making erroneous inputs that way as well. Nice camera, but not for me.
The problem I have with touch screens is that if you get sweaty hands when it is hot out (say with hiking), they don't seem to work well. I often can't use my i phone easily if I am out hiking and the temperature is up....

Yeah, I posted it on DPR after seeing it here. But it seems Pentax users on DPR are not so excited, or simply no one has left there to show much of excitement because Adam has managed to teleport us all to the Pentax Forums Mothership!

K-r's body is very close to K-50. IMO.
But K-r has only one dial.

Only a few diehards like Brandrx (Ron Brandon) are still there on the old Dpreview forums (where I registered more than 10 years ago but the forum has not changed a lot since then - it's still horrible to use the forum interface IMHO).

If you see my post #514, with K-r, K-30 and K-50, it actually has much more style elements from the K-30 IMO.

I was wrong. The K50 is reality. Dunno how I feel about it.

Yep. I couldn't imagine Pentax releasing a camera with almost the exact same specifications as the K30 while looking like a warmed over K-r/K10 and giving us ANOTHER version without weather dealing and with almost the same name.

I was wrong. Dead wrong.

wow.

My head is exploding.

Can someone tell me something logical here?

Personally, I prefer the look of the K-50 to the K-30, but I can understand why others prefer the more angular body. I think that, if you look closely, there is quite a lot of Pentax DNA in the K-50. However, if the specifications are accurate, it's not much of a step forward over the K-30. One can only assume that it is designed to appeal more populist tastes (like mine, I suppose) with the hope that it will sell a little better. That said, I won't be buying one, as I'm waiting for a successor to my excellent K-5.
