Agree. Just wanted to point out that things have changed a bit.

I wish there will be many colors to choose from...

Back on subject...

I think it is a good start to get a coherent lineup that's easy for people to identify. I'm OK with it. Pentax in the US now needs to fix the lack of advertising and presence in stores - get these things out where consumers can see and handle them.

Colors are OK as well. Black is not good in some ways - like deserts in the middle of summer and baking the electronics - lighter colors would help a little. I'm actually going to think about this...

- Hear, hear!

Regarding colors on a Pentax camera, I hope that all models can be chosen with various colors in the near future. Overall I think I could live with this combination:

Yes, on a K-50, but this great opportunity isn't available on every Pentax model today...

I'd love to have the latest incarnation of a K-5 in that green/black color combo. I wonder how closely the green matches the green stripe on the lenses? That would be very very cool if it was a perfect match.

The green color on the K-50 I was refering to, seem to be some kind of forest green/dark green, while the green on the stripe of the lenses seem to be a somewhat lighter green. However, i believe that one green color often functions well with all kinds of other colors, including another green variant, because the nature of green in general is so soft, and pleasing to the eye.

As long as it has the same texture as the black body. I always liked the white ones. Or the olive green...

Having a colorful body for the pro models can make sense. Like if you do wildlife perhaps. Or if you are a kiddie photographer... Something less imposing and more fun could be useful.

That's an interesting idea - a multicam or olive green K-3 could be cool. With matching colours and patterns for lenses and hoods.

Or on every lens. Only the kit lens can be had to match, and to me that just doesn't work.

Few months ago I suggested Pentax to do something like this in the picture below — use camouflage patterns. Adventurers, outdoor photographers and birders would maybe go crazy after them. Even military. For larger lenses, I suggested matching camouflage sock — just put it on and remove as needed.

Those sort of socks do exist already. They can be wrapped around camera and lenses and also offer protection from bumps and drops. Can't remember who makes them.

I can imagine Pentax setting up a paint shop for lenses and bodies so that they can be painted individually. Offering that much choice for all lenses and cameras through other means could be cost prohibitive though.

A camouflaged camera would simply look cool to me, though I do not need it.

Reminds me of my first camera, Pentax PC35AF camoflage.
