Announcing the ArcSoft Post-Processing Software Contest!

I'm happy to announce that from now until July 12th, PentaxForums.com will be hosting a contest featuring more software from ArcSoft! Earlier this year we gave away 5 copies of ArcSoft's noise reduction software, and the contest was very well-received, so we decided to do another! In case you didn't know, ArcSoft is one of the companies that supplies Pentax's desktop software.

The prizes this time around will be 5 copies of Photo+, Panorama Maker, or Portrait+ (each winner gets to choose). For details on the prizes as well as special deals exclusive to our members, please visit this page:

Pentax Forum Exclusive Promotion - ArcSoft Software Overview

Portrait+

Photo+ for Mac

Panorama Maker

How to Enter

This contest is all about post-processing. So, in order to enter, please post a thread in the contest forum with:
  1. Your best set of "before and after" photos (2 photos total- the original and the result after post-processing)
**please use our attachment system and scale your photos so that they are <= 1280x800px**
  2. A list of the equipment used (camera & lens, need not be a Pentax)
  3. The post-processing software used (in-camera edits are acceptable)
  4. EXIF information (shutter speed, aperture, ISO, etc.)
  5. A paragraph describing the steps you took to enhance the original photo and why
**the more elaborate this is, the higher your chances of winning**
That's all that there's to it! Please not that all 5 things enumerated above are required, and entries that are missing information will not be considered.
The winners will be chosen by our staff based on quality.

Good luck and please post in this thread if you have any questions or have trouble entering!

ArcSoft is getting no compensation for these free copies, so please help us thank them for sponsoring this giveaway by paying their site a visit.

The usual fine print applies: we reserve the right to modify the prizes or terms at any given time. No purchase necessary, competition is open to members worldwide. *Photos you upload as part of this giveaway will NOT be used for any other purpose and you will have the option to delete the photo after receiving feedback should that be your preference. Your giveaway entry will remain valid even if the photo is not accepted into the Exclusive Gallery by our judges. At the discretion of ArcSoft, your prize may be substituted for another ArcSoft product upon request. PentaxForums.com is not affiliated with ArcSoft, Inc. Prizes sponsored in full by ArcSoft, Inc.

Panorama Maker, or Portrait+
If you go to the link from the initial post - you will see that the main product (Portrait +), has a Windows standalone version, a Mac Standalone, and a Windows Lightroom Plugin version.
Panorama Maker also comes in Windows and Mac.

What did surprise me is that I could not find the "ArcSoft's new Low Light NR" software on their site, which was the previous giveaway (also mentioned on the 1st post)

While the winners were announced for that giveaway at the end of Feb., I did not see any followup as to their experience in that thread.

Here's the product page:
The most image details recover, gain the unexpected. - ArcSoft Low Light NR

It looks like the coupon code PENTAXARCSOFT will still save you 25%.

But when I was on the Portrait+ site, when you go to the Top - under the tabs "Product Software and Apps" and the "eStore" - the "Low Light NR" doesn't seem to show up - unless it is a subset of another software package - but I checked a number of them - and couldn't find it.

I wasn't shopping right now for a purchase, but consumers will have a hard time buying if it is so hard to find on their site...

How come the contest-subforum shows 13 threads, but when I enter it there's nothing there?
