You can still buy Olympus PEN E-PL1 overhere.

And this shop has the Original PEN in stock:
http://maxict.nl/product/1814750/olympus-e-p1-body?btwview=in&rs=kelkoo&utm_...gn=kelkooclick

It's from 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As a recovering olympusian, I have to take exception to that statement. That's /not/ the original PEN by half a century:

I'm taking a look at the Q10's specs (PENTAX - Q10 Silver), and other than the sensor itself, I'm not sure what's changed in the Q7? (ISO was maximum 6400 before, but unusable there and I doubt 6400-12800 are any more usable on the Q7).

Maybe I'm wrong but I've not seen a black Pentax 01 Standard Prime and corresponding black MH-RB lenshood before... (all 01 Standard Primes I've seen so far are chrome).

I am afraid I don't understand your question: what am I supposed to make of the MH-RB 40.5mm lens hood?

Unless I'm mistaken, it's new (as, as Asahiflex pointed out, is the black variant of the 01 Standard lens), and until now there was no official Pentax 40.5mm lens hood.

The silver version of that hood was available since the first Q, announced on june 23, 2011, almost exactly two years ago.

OK, somehow that passed me by :/
Silver for a lens hood? Optically, surely black makes more sense?

Indeed, but named MH-RA 40.5mm if I'm not mistaken. This one is named MH-RB, B for black I presume.

You're just seeing the outside finish. It's not making less sense than the silver hoods on the FA* series

Not only it keeps it, it improves...

50000 yens is 500$. A bit on the high side unfortunately...

Q7 looks nice. And is too expensive. Same as the K5II, it's a variation on the same formula. Q and Q10 body and lenses were all already designed for the 1/1.7" sensor. Q10 was ready for a million colour combos. Q7 is too. We get that.

But none of the newer Q bodies makes the original Q look wanting and needy for an upgrade, in any respect, nor at least for a supplement body too — that's the problem. A really beefy Q is needed too that warrants that new price.

K50 looks nice too. And it's a variation on the same formula. Internals are almost same as the K30, now sans a million colour combos. We get that.

But we also get that K500 will inherit K30's body, and same those millions of colours combos. It isn't hard to predict the obvious moves Pentax.

Now, I'd really like to see you Pentax moving some bolder, unexpected, more exciting moves! Move you queen Pentax — you have one, don't you? Don't just play safe, sleepy game. So far, in the last 2 years, the most exciting and outstanding move was drawing the new Ricoh GR out. A brilliant move.

But if users can predict what you are going to do next ... Geez, Pentax, it's not how you really want to play to win the game.

I hope that's a mistake. If true, they are going to repeat same mistakes, again.
Q7 with a zoom lens should be priced something like the MX-1 alone (or just few $ above it) to start attracting attention.

And it seems they were right.
Do you think Pentax would have released the Q10 and now the Q7 if the Q line didn't bring them any money ?

Look at the k-01, it failed and now it's dead. The Q system is alive.
The Q has almost no presence on Flickr and as a system camera it is dead last in mirror less sales on Japan. The large chain camera store I frequent only has online stock as there is no walk-in requests.

Companies release money-losing duds all the time. Windows 8.
