I'd prefer the 40mm xs

Even Q is the smallest mirrorless camera but with the 02 zoom lens..... the whole thing is not thin at all.

Therefore, this lens just makes the Q camera more fun to use and more pocketable. Let's imagine to put this lens on the camera.
It just makes the camera real thin. And just grab and shoot. And put in a shirt pocket just like phones or wallets.

Pretty similar concept as the 40mm XS but much narrower F, f9 compare to f2.8! Plus, the sensor is already small and purpose of the camera is for fun so sharpness is not a priority object for this lens.

Thin and easy, that's all. LOMO-like pictures, too. Girls like it this way, though.

Hmm, does indeed look much more lomo than the Olympus body cap lens. From PENTAX - PENTAX 07 Mount Shield Lens for Q-Series Cameras:

QuoteQuote:
the 07 lens produces a truly unique and timeless visual effect, comparable to the original pin-hole camera ... The 07 enhances the bokeh effect for more pronounced blurring in a larger area of the image’s borders, for a truly unique photographic perspective.
So should be a cinch to steal the title of all-time-worst-lens-ever-tested-by-DxOMark, that is, if they get around to testing it.

The original Q is the smallest of all digital system photo camera and the mount shield lens is the smallest system lens for any digital photo camera. That makes the combination the by far smallest system camera and lens combination available. 188 grams with battery, lens and SD-card.

Looks very similar to this: Holga Lens for Pentax DSLR Cameras - HL-P- Digital: Amazon.co.uk: Camera & Photo (which obviously you could use adapted on the Qs) but I bet it's going to cost a whole lot more.

Look at this:

Olympus E-PM1 systeemcamera body Zwart + 15mm Pancake Lens

Currently you can buy Olympus PEN E-PM1 with 15mm lens for 99 euro overhere!

I hope this lens is not to expensive.

Clever idea.

But it should come with auto-vignette. It's a pinhole for pity's sake!!
Right, there is even this one, for sale for a while in Q mount...

... and resulting in particularly dull images ...

Looks about the same as the Gatsby image just posted in the Pentax Compact DPR forum. Very blurry and nothing at all like the aforementioned Olympus examples on Ming Thein's blog.

That's just a pin hole without any piece of glass, I would guess.

So, it would totally give a different result to the 07 lens.
