If Pentax USA's site is error free, then K-50 lacks the autofocus fine adjustment function.
I would say that would be pretty stupid as it would mean more lenses in for adjustment equal higher service cost.

I'd say there's an approximately 0.00% chance of that feature being present in the K-500 and absent from the K-50.
I think so too. I was just questioning the reliability of Pentax U S A.

Your camera is just as capable. There's not much difference in the specs.

I've actually never heard a sales person in a brick 'n mortar store say that to a beginner, almost only people on forums seems to do it. The buyers already know that there are "big cameras" but most don't care about them.
Or want to carry all that weight and bulk around either. No, I've never heard that supposed line either, but then there is only 1 B&M store in Atlanta that only does camera gear.

Some people are just Trolling for problems with Pentax and looking for issues. Wait and see seems too hard a concept for some.

Pentax will NEVER please all the people all of the time. They will always have those who will find fault, announce whatever new product they may.
Pleased with the new lineup announced. My confidence in Pentax still has not wavered, even slightly.

Surely they can get seven models out of it, not just 5... wait, K-5...

It's good - I think you even don't understand the deep sense of this phrase.

Yes. It's the same situation with Russian bureaucracy - the biggest problem of Russian bureaucracy is people.
