I'm still waiting for this 18-35mm I've seen one sitting in a Camerahouse near me, but it was for Nikon mount!!! I know wishful thinking, as if a Pentax mount Sigma lens is just lying around the corner.

According to my local shop, their Sigma rep told them Sony mount should be around March/April. Can we assume that Pentax won't be far behind?

See my post of January 16th...I would quote the email we received verbatim but that would not be proper. In my opinion, and I hate to say it, I think April is just another goalpost that will be moved for both Sony and Pentax. I hope I'm wrong.
Sigma is still trying to keep up with demand for Canikon mounts.

Could get it next year then. :P

It would be smarter for Sigma to release there lenses (if production capacity is the limiting factor) on the less popular mounts like Pentax and Sony first with a few Canon and Nikon copies to reviewers and pros. They would be able to still sell them at full price and to build a huge buzz and high demand once the Canon and Nikon copies dropped in large supply.

I'm hoping this comes out before May, because I'm going to Japan in June. If not I may pick up the 20-40 Limited, or 15 Limited, or who knows, I'd love a wide-angle WR prime if pentax were to come out with one.

Yes, at 1st of April, as usually

Canikon can be unhappy with that...

I hope it comes out before mid March because that's when anime convention season starts REALLY heating up for me, and this would be perfect.

This lens would be ridiculously perfect for lots of situations. I can't wait to slot it in between two of my favorite Sigma's, the 8-16mm and 30mm 1.4, but I'm hoping it at least gets here before June so I can take it to the hospital for the birth of our third (and final) child/daughter.

I just sent Sigma an email a couple days ago letting them know that I'm looking forward to the lens in Pentax mount; I suggest anybody else waiting for this lens do the same. Can't hurt, right?

Good idea. I think I'll do the same. I'm certain to get a better response than Tamron gave me on their new 150-600!

My children do two play productions in theater every school year with our homeschool group. With where I am able to sit in our sanctuary, this would be good for shots of the whole stage.

match this one up with the 24-105 f4 if sigma sees the light and makes it for K-mount, and one would have awesome coverage with just 2 zooms. Add a fast 50, 70, or 100 prime for portraits and, voila!

yea that 24-104 f4 would be great for K mount. I'm already tempted to get it for F.
