Which camera? I never felt it on the K-5, even less on the K-3. The weight of the lens is negligible.

I am using the K-30. When I take a picture using the DA XS 40, I can really feel the mirror moving, much more so than with any other lens.

Have a K-5 and have been awaiting this Sigma 18-35 for a while. Hopefully not too much longer...

The thing is, this lens is so unique it's not like Sigma needs to worry about you getting tired of waiting for it and buying a competing product. I'm afraid this won't see a Pentax release until summer.

Just noticed there is a new member review of this lens posted:
Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM (Art) Lens Reviews - Sigma Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database

I'm surprised because I didn't realize it has already been released for K-mount. Is this a genuine review?

The reviews that I've read for this lens make it sound amazing. I was very surprised to see the price and excited to see it offered for Pentax. I am interested to see how well it sells. I don't have much money to spend on lenses at this time so this is definitely going to be my next lens. Now to come up with $800...

The reviewer is in the UK. Perhaps Ricoh started distribution there already?

TipTop electronics in the UK claims to have it available for shipping now:
Buy Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Lens for Pentax | TipTopElectronics UK

Don't know a single thing about this store. Any UK posters out there who can tell us something?

That review seems pretty general. And that UK website is a mess. I tried to search for the Sigma 30mm for Pentax to see if they claim to have that ready also. But the search page returns an error. I doubt this is available yet.

The Sigma 35 f/1.4 Art has been out for K-mount since May 2013.
