no, not really, only rough estimates.
According to most sellers I asked it's expected to ship mid-march or eventually in april.

That's good to hear. It should be even better on Pentax with Image Stabilization.

I am wondering how good the Sigma 18-35/1.8 will be on the K-3!!
And the new Sigma 50/1.4 DG must be a surprise even to beat the Zeiss Otus!!! Wow!
But I will first test this 2 with my K-3! Afterthan maybe to buy one.
If that 2 sigma lenses works very well with the K-3, so I wish, Pentax will go ahead with weathersealed lenses!
Nowaday it is time to acept other brand, when it works great! Instead of making contest, who makes better lenses......

Today, I contacted Sigma USA regarding the 18-35mm f/1.8 lens for Pentax mounts. They responded quickly, so I guess they are listening.

Good afternoon,

Unfortunately the 18-35 has yet to be released in Sony and Pentax mounts. We are currently expecting an early May delivery. I am very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best regards,

By whose reckoning? Sigma is doing great things now, but whoever says so probably isn't looking very closely. Zeiss has a solid track record of delivering subtle imaging characteristics that make a positive difference. Even though they're getting better, Sigma still omits some positive characteristics that many other lenses have (not just Zeiss)!

They are coming, eventually. Demand from retailers does play a small part in this, so put in your order if you're decided on it.

Could you spare us some kind of deeper insight beyond the obvious, or a sample image or two made on a Pentax camera? It would be deeply appreciated.

Saw your review Ronin1.

Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM (Art) Lens Reviews - Sigma Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database

I sent you a PM to inquire your obtaining this lens weeks ago with no reply. Would you spare a moment to inform us as you seem to be the only Pentax mount owner. Maybe a few examples of this lens on your K-5IIs. If you would be so kind.
