$728 AUS shipped to my door.
This is like pulling teeth. Okay...and where did you order it from? Was it a special deal you negotiated? Did you use a coupon code?

Just a little teaser to everyone. Here's what 28mm APSC F1.8 can do on my current Sigma 28 F1.8. I expect this new 18-35 to be much better, question is how much better? My current Sigma 28 is a big, heavy piece and I seldom take it out for travel. That is my biggest concern if I were to pick up this 18-35 that it might not get much used unless its around the house. The other question I have is how much will I gain with an F1.8 zoom vs. what I already have (28mm F1.8 Sigma, DA 35 2.4 and also 20mm F1.7 on my m43). I don't really expect much benefit going wider than 28mm APSC and F1.8. I guess that is the realm where FF may have an advantage, being able to isolate and go wider at same time on F2 35mm.

So? There are a lot of members here from Australia. And when I bought my K-30 when it was first released, I bought it from Singapore and got a much better price.

It's just kind of annoying when somebody comes along and says they got the lens at a crazy price, and then volunteers no other details.

You did indeed state the price, but it took a lot of prying to get out why you got it for that price. Price watch is set up for people to report deals anyone can obtain, even if that "everyone" figure is confined to a specific local, such as Australia. However when a price is negotiated between seller and buy that may not be available to everyone, then it no longer belongs here.

When people make a post here, they need to include all the specifics in the post: what the item is, who is selling it, whether special processes are involved such as coupons or codes, what the price is, and whether the deal is available to all or just a select group. All these facts need to be listed in the initial post and shouldn't require members asking for the additional info.

According to London Drugs' website, "This is a special order item. It will be ordered immediately upon receiving your order."

How do you find the performance compares to the Sigma 18-35?

The price overhere for the 560 also went down a lot since the introduction. Maybe there will be a market for it now. It's now from 5.999 down to 4.269 euro. Still expensive and more then I would expect for the lens from the start.
