They are two different lenses. The DA14/2.8 is large and at f/2.8 fairly fast for a wide angle. The DA15 will probably be smaller and slower.

Perhaps the DA14 will be phased out somewhat? Similar to the DA16-45/4 being kinda replaced by the DA17-70/4. To my mind anyway. Both the DA14 and the DA16-45 are the oldest DA designs of the line-up.

Yeah. At ~45mm, it's be a perfect normal - but what saddened me about the roadmap is there is only one sub-f2 lens, and it's a short tele which you can't buy yet.

I dream of a return of my K30/2.8 as a DA/DA* SDM.

I know you will all whine because of /2.8 but you guys never tried that K30/2.8

I just want a good normal. 28mm, sub-f1.5, nine aperture blades, SDM. Maybe all-metal construction, and, of course, good performance wide open, better performance at f2.8-8.

Well, basically a wider FA 50mm.

And that they should really step up the quality control on the 16-50's.

That 30mm is probably the next prime I will buy.
If it is f/1.4

Got some zooms to get out of the way first though.
