Are you sure? The fact that there are counter-arguments to what he's saying would imply that "we don't get it".

From my perspective, I think it's difficult to argue with the sentiment that these new Pentax flashes are still no match for some others, at a price that exceeds the (better) others. Sounds to me like reasonable grounds for disenchantment.

and the most disappointment is tha the ratio group flash is probably easiy fixable with software not hardware related. in additicion considering pentax change flash evey 7 years, we won't see this feature before 2020.

the bigger light the better....a led light so small is useless apart some macro of cheap grab video...a youngnuo led light cost 40 euro and is a much better solution. so good to have the led light but i would have preferred a new wireless system, a more powerful and fast flash than a led light that in practice is of tiny use.

Actually, I was already in this thread BEFORE you came in to REPEATEDLY post the same complaint. Like I said, we heard all of your complaints the first time you levied them. the first time, and you are acting like a pompous jerk, belittling "typical Pentax users" as only taking pictures of bugs and flowers.

You can't seem to get it through your skull that there are users out there for whom weather-sealing, LED, etc. might be useful because you don't understand that there are people with needs in a flash (and photographic system) other than your own. If you think another system fits your needs better, then by all means go purchase it. But as others have said, there are those here who would like to discuss things about these flashes other than how much they suck and about how overpriced they are without having even seen what the actual street prices are, what additional features there might be, or how well they handle in a real life shoot.

And no one cares how much you have spent on Pentax gear if all you have to add to the conversation is condescension and tiresome, repetitive complaints.

seems they are real price. Pentax finally has first place in something...most expensive by a large margin hot shoe flash in the market. 2013 price with 2000 technology, well done....anyway i wait for the review of these flash cause i'm sure you will pull the trigger at this price..

The KX doesn't support an internal AF assist light, so I'm sure it's an insurmountable problem. The camera probably lacks the basic ability to send a request to the AF assist light since it's not in the hardware to start with.

For internal AF, It's true ( Kx has not Assis Led Include into K-x)
BUT, when i connect my Fgz 360 v1, you select SB Mode in your Kx
After you turn the selector go mode "Av"
And after you push EDGE in the shutter button, and you see the big led Red lighting (and no the flash) and Af runs ok
The average is 6 to 8Metres for this led red

You must be in low light for see this of your eyes, try (in Firmware 1.03)

And i waiting so the extended firmware update for K-x

yep it's true - I have so many different sized filters a stacked them all together and painted PENTAX FA*600mm f/5.6 ED IF on the side to impress my clients.
