This is becoming a waste of time...people show you genuine documents and yet you persist and start hairsplitting...are you trolling?

All I'm trying to say is that "all weather resistance" on a lens lens does not necessarily make it a AW series lens.

There is AW and WR there is not AWR DA* is AW. It's as simple as that.

oh can we please?! I want to have a strap lug on the side like my old LX, I much prefer the comfort of the camera being carried in "portrait" orientation rather than "landscape". It also helps to keep the strap out of my face when I try and shoot.

yes, I'm trolling....

Ah Strap Lugs! I wish Strap lugs were at the bottom of the camera as I prefer heavy lenses to hang down, rather than adding extra leverage to my, already screwed, spine by pointing away from my body. The strap lugs on the K-01 are useless, but I was surprised, when I finally connected my strap to my K-5, that the one on the left was placed forward to avoid getting in the way of the controls there. Yes let's have a chat about strap lugs shall we? It's got to be more interesting and less tortuous than all the prognostication going on around here.

I like strap lugs on classic Pentax camera bodies. Those camera bodies were very extruded and flattened octagonal shapes. MX-1 has borrowed their placement too, and is far more friendly to use especially with a lens extended forward, allowing better balance, easier access to side doors etc.

But what about the LX which allowed both lugs on the right grip side of the body? That was the best for me.

Regarding the roadmap .. I just received a very, very good news. A very exciting lens will be introduced with a new camera, now only indicated at the very bottom of the new roadmap. I was told not to say all the specifics, but I assume this will spark some interest: it's an f2.8 lens.

There were actually three lugs on the LX, two at the top and two on the side, the best of both worlds.

I was actually quite surprised by the specs, and asked whether the specs are correct. And I was reassured they were.
Yes, it is somewhat similar in specs to that new Oly lens, but better.

Is that a good idea?

Actually, it's even better. I was confused at first, because no one else has such a lens (even equivalent) right now ...
