K-5IIs in Silver will be announced tomorrow. They will probably announce a DA 41.5mm to bridge the gap in focal length between the 40mm & 43mm LTD. Pentax is good at filling those gaps.
But now they'll have TWO gaps!

I'm sure the 40.75mm and the 42.25mm are both in development.

For all we know it might not even end up being called the K-3! I doubt Pentax would make two back-to-back announcements given that the hd limiteds came out a week ago.
The "announcement" of the hd ltd's wasn't really an announcement, now was it. I am perfectly satisfied with the k5IIs, so not waiting for anything, not even lenses, but come on, if the hd ltd's are it for september, I'm going to lose my faith in Pentax, seriously.....

Even if that would be all for September (but don't forget about the long-awaited flashes!), it doesn't means the year is over.

I'm so nervous. Surely the successor of the X-5 will be amazing!

I really like what they've done w/ the diesel and hybrid versions...really impressive compared to the competition

That Fujitsu press release is interesting...disappointed if there's no 1080/60p support though. I was hoping they were going to do 120p as a big surprise since some cell phones can do it not
JPEG-HDR sounds interesting though...I've never heard of that format...

Ah, that's their strategy: no zooms anymore, just primes. People will have to buy an infinite number of lenses to cover all focal lengths.

1080/60p would be cool because it means 30p mode would get a lot smoother. Also maybe live mode would have less delay. Redesign the sequence engine so that the mirror doesn't have flop up an down when shooting in live mode. You could shoot at more than 7fps like the sony's.

I care most about focussing accuracy with manual glass actually . None of that front and backfocus reshimming business anymore would be a relief. Canonlike focus tracking for AF as wel.

Get a K-01. Works a charm with the 50/1.2 open wide.
