That 360 thing that we saw at CES might finally be announced soon. Seems like a handy toy for smartphone users.

That makes a great deal of sense. We may see announcements of narrow interest.

It's interesting to watch posts of those who seem to have early knowledge of announcements. Even though they're respectful of Pentax management preferences, we may yet draw some conclusions. Are they about to burst with excitement? Are they calm and sedate? Are they trying to calm the roiling seas of speculation?

Still find it strange that they don't suggest a Sony Xperia for pairing with those. I think something is broken, haha.

Odd that it's on a Pentax webpage (at least, one that has the current Pentax slogan on it) but is badged as a Ricoh product. There seems to be some confusion about badging, as I keep seeing the new GR referred to as the Pentax Ricoh GR in UK references.

In this case, I'm somewhat ambivalent about the badging. It seems to fit the Ricoh product line better, but if it succeeds as a product, the cachet could be useful for Pentax if it carried that name instead. On balance, though, I think it might be better to stay as it's been shown here. It's one product, from the looks of it – not a product line, like Sony's smart-phone lenses.

Rumour is Nikon's D5300 and D610 will have built-in wi-fi.
