Please let me know, when you install it, if it has a French version in the one you downloaded.

I've seen releases of English/Japanese only versions of other products...

Regards,
Will do - in about 8 hours.

Out of curiosity, has anyone attempted to install the K-50 firmware on the K-30? And, if so, how'd that go?

If properly coded, it should just fail leaving the original firmware in place.

That's an 'if'.

Indeed but properly coded firmware could also be properly hacked

Confirmation from japan:
Lens support is indeed for contrast AF.

Mmm wonder how those new flashes will behave on older cameras as for AF assist function and if those new flashes still support analog TTL, digital TTL (different from P-TTL) for old film bodies.

QuoteQuote:
Changes to V1.15

  • Correspond to the AF assist light function by white LED light for auto flash unit [AF360FGZII] and [AF540FGZII].
  • Optimized contrast AF when using HD PENTAX-DA Limited series lenses.
  • Improved stability for general performance.

Am I missing something? The firmware update is to support the new HD lenses and flashes, but they aren't even in stores yet... So why is everybody updating?

I'm going to buy the new HD DA 35 ltd as soon as it becomes available, so I would really like to know if and where it is available.

On the UK web-site it also says

•Improved stability for general performance.

I did not see anything for the K10D. What is a K10D lover supposed to do? Just put them on a shelf and admire them?
