Hey Maybe we will see a 20MP camera with a 33x22 mm sensor based on the 24mp sony FF sensor, maybe they had to reduce the sensor size to account for SR. Would full frame lovers really care if the sensor was "almost" full frame. I would be perfectly happy with this although I cant really see this happening. OK I might be getting carried away.

...That's why I think it's important to get as much genuine use out of your goods as possible to make whatever price was paid worthwhile. I got my K-30 in June and the K-50/500 came out soon after. During that time before the updated K's were released I used my K-30 almost daily and learned a lot along the way...
Your attitude is reasonable.
I have to say though that I esteem my K-30 even more, now that the K-50 has been released.
The new design is bland, boring. But the worst is that in my opinion (from what I've read), the K-50 is "weaker".
I don't know why that is, or if I am mistaken, but it happens sometimes.

The Canon EOS 700D is measured weaker than the 650D which itself is weaker than the 600D (DXOmark).

You can "squeeze out" a sensor only to a certain extent, I guess.

Regards,

Bernie

If that price is correct it seems like they will sell well. Even if it's not leapfrogging the competition, a $1200 flagship camera seems like a good deal. I hope that's correct!
That is not bad at all.! Even if it would be in Euros(1200€), it would not be bad. Launch price! !

Probably to accomodate more advanced focus system, with more focus points.
More likely due to heavier mirror assembly (7fps -->8.5fps) and bigger pentaprism (0.92x --> 0.95/1.0x magnification,) and perhaps more effective SR (3 stops --> 4 stops,) if the rumor's correct.

Back in May a source “close to Pentax” (of course!) told me that the next flagship camera wouldn't have an articulated display but a detachable one, with wireless communication … I've been doubtful so far but this would fit in with the currently rumoured K-3. A wireless display could be weather-sealed, better than an articulated one.

Let's see what will remain from all these speculative specs. I'm happy, however, that at last there is some speculation going on again!

Which would probably get lost by most users within a week of buying the camera. Not a great idea. Just let users use their existing phones or tablets to wirelessly control the camera.

Actually it has no screen.. You simply plug your smart phone in which then acts as a two way power source so you can charge either the phone or camera depending on which needs more power... Then you will be able to remove the phone and operate the camera remotely.. Full control over the camera... Will have remote live view plus the controller app in you phone can sync to your website of choice to instantly upload your images...

I don't think so, what about the energy needed for the screen ? A second thin battery ?

With the included blackhead counter?

A IRIS reader would be cool

Ooohhhh this is interesting. So the k3 will cost approx twice as much as a k5, that puts it at over $1600 given current street prices. That indicates the k3 will be in Canon 7d territory in terms of market position.

That many? I thought it would be measured in bits.
