Wonder if it will include focus peaking.

Not really. Photo"chops" tend to take other elements from other cameras. This has got parts I've never seen before.
I agree, a quick google at previous Pentax bodies shows it has some unique aspects.

In the end, if it is real, what does this picture tell us? It's an SLR (big surprise), same size (ish) as K5 (big surprise), called K3 (big surprise), takes APS-C K-mount lenses (big surprise)....um....Bueller...

I guess possible compatibility with existing grips would be the only 'good news' aspect of this image (if you have a compatible grip, that is).

As a K20D owner wanting something with 'pro' credentials / capabilities, I'm far more interested in what a new camera can do.

I guess we will all know soon.

Pretty plain looking, but that is not very important. Let's see how the IQ and AF stack up.

+1 on this, I've learned to love that feature on the K-30.

Or if it is indeed full frame, this picture tells us that it can use crop mode though I have all the doubts in the world that this will be full frame.

It isn't. That's later.

Looks nice!

I like looks of my K-7, and I have been dreaming of getting K-5IIs...so let's see.

I'll buy it regardless of what it looks like, but I gotta say that I'm a teensy bit disappointed. Looks like a slight step back in terms of design. I had hoped for something a little more eye-catching. Oh well, if it is indeed compatible with the current grip, then that is some solace. Kinda hoping that this turns out to be a fake.

I do lie simple form and lines. Nothing too fancy, but still effective. Good to handle. As I mentioned early, I like my K-7... But, what I'd like to change is almost everything inside of it...

Got it. Sometimes I forget. I really can't beleive people seriously think this will be a FF camera - they ahve to be joking (or something else).

Should be a really good camera though. Prob. not cutting-edge enough to WOW everybody, but a very strong offering from Ricoh that addresses almost every Pentax shortcoming. Once people figure out that Ricoh is all about constant, incremental improvement in familiar wrappers (body style) they'll understand the brand growth strategy. Whatver remaining shortcomings - will be addressed relatively quickly, I believe.

Won't stop others from crying out for FF, but the APSc crowd (including me) is going to get some really sharp gear.
