With all those full frame lenses in your sig I'd have thought you'd want one too!

I know I do.

I have the K-5 and K-5 IIs, I think I'll pass on this new 'flagship'.

how stupid not to change the color of the kitlens too.
we launch a new camera with an old lens.
Well I think that the standard DA lenses keep the green ring while the limiteds get the red ring to differentiate the lens lines. The old version of the DA limited 35 macro and the DA L 35 are about the same size. From 1-2 meters away, I wouldn't be able to tell them apart when the DA 35 macro's hood is pushed in.

If it's full-frame, then I'll be interested.

Absolutely +1.

Maybe next year, son.

But that doesn't mean I want a half-baked, half-tested, half-researched and half featured piece of junk. I want Pentax to stay in my house, so I want them to do what ever they can to polish a Full Fledged Full Frame of a camera.

Me too!

But thing is, how long do we have to wait?

Doesnt it look like another photoshop? I dunno, I think the K-5 looks better. We'll see.
Not really. Photo"chops" tend to take other elements from other cameras. This has got parts I've never seen before.

Provided this is real, how come this forum doesn't get the news first?

Looks a pretty dodgy shot from here. The lens looks a rougher resolution than the camera behind it and the mostly green ring is very clumsy, as if it was added by hand. Still, who knows. I'm puzzled, though, why Ricoh would have kept so closely to the lines of the old K5 when they have deliberately moved away from existing models to a new design with the K50 and K500. Just about the only thing the K3, if it is even called that, has not been slated to do is take you to the stars on King Tut's chariot. I'm waiting on the real thing (a camera in my hand, not a magic chariot). At the moment I could get the majority of my photography down to the DA 15mm at f8 or f9 and the DA 70mm at f2.8-f4, so I guess I'm not one of the eager beaver upgraders.

Thing is, I will keep shooting and playing with the cameras I have now further developing my skills, and by the time the FF comes in I can work around the inevitable flaws of it, that way I will not be some guy who accuses the tool of not being capable enough. And all this is just my opinion.

True. But look at how the leatherette meets the body. The resolution of the lens and the body.. Also, I expect the new camera to follow the same style as the HD limiteds. Sleek dark plastic, with red accent.

with the SR being in GOLD, they just might release a gold-ringed limited limiteds

If they announce it in Paris, they can reuse the brochure from 2011 for the camera that never came..........

By historical standards just a little longer.
