Why would they have Mic jack if not for video? I doubt that it would be headphone jack, but like said, in other image it shows that there is a some sort of door/flap/... what for?
there's already a mic jack...

Most likely it's going to be like in Nikons:
Makes sense. Pentax have probably been studying Nikon closely.

The larger viewfinder hump on the K-3 also suggests that the K-3 may feature the same ".. high-intensity, high-contrast and energy-saving organic EL display element" that has been newly incorporated into the D7100's viewfinder.

Pic related, from the Nikon D7100 features page:

Oh no! Lets all hope that hump on the side isn't caused by the re-introduction of the aperture leaver coupling thing that some seem to miss so badly.

No need to apologise!

I see what you mean. I was just saying that adding a headphone jack would seem to be a bit of a waste of space because although, yes, there is a mic jack (which is a video specific feature) a headphone jack would seem to be a video specialisation too far for a camera that few people are going to use for video more than photo.

I would think it is some kind of motor that was previously on the other end. Moved to make room for something like a second card slot. Or maybe the electronics and digital brains have been redesigned and integrated and need a bit more room. Adequate physical space for an array of memory chips for an adequate buffer. Or a larger battery to run the more powerful processing engine good for 400 shots. It probably didn't need the room all the way to the edge, but for looks the cylinder was extended.

Or a different/larger type of shutter/mirror mechanism.

I have no idea. It doesn't look like a user accessible door.

A shot from close up with a phone camera. The bulbous shape is probably distortion.

Does this look "real" to you?

To me it doesn't look like Pentax-finish as I know it. A hoax or a disguise for something else?

Maybe the hump is a form of active cooling? (LOL! This is fun. More rumors please!)

The previous image clearly shows some kind of cover or flap on the bump.
But it's not like other covers or flaps, so I'm wondering if it's some kind of adjustment access. If it were a headphone jack, why not make the cover similar to the mic input?
Nope, I'd go for the pneumatic actuator I described in an earlier post. I just need to enhance the sound description a little. The flap you see is a door that opens after each shot to let out used air and suck in fresh air to the actuator, so the camera will go *click-psshh-sip* each time you take a shot. Sadly the camera will only just manage 1 shot per second in burst mode.

Now i think this thing is real. And that will be just as beauty as the K-7/5 body.
I remember when the first leaked pic of the K-7 body came out, it was a really ugly view. So I am not worried by the look we are seeing now.
I also think, like others here, that the hump on the left side is some kind of a new shutter mecanism, that allows a higher frame rate, and faster shutter speeds.

An the new AF switch with the AF mode button will be better implemented than the Nikon D7000 way. Maybe just press or press an hold to change, much like the Raw/FX button.
For the bigger VF housing, I will be happy with that being just a bigger prism. Despite the 100% view of the K-5, a bigger view WITH 100% coverage will be even better!!
