Yea, I think that there is always someone, who takes these things as real and will be disapointed... I'm all in for fun for now. Would be great to actually guess right some things thou.

I'm guessing that the O-GPS1 will not work with the 24MP sensor and so that the lump is the functionality of the O-GPS1 *built-in" to the K-3.

Are you sure this wouldn't rather be the 40 Mpix sensor-shift motion mechanism ?

I personally doubt they would include GPS in a "pro targetted " body... remember that accessories are margin-upgrading products.

Yea, I think that this has been seen(tech.) could end up to be true...and seems like question for hump is solved at there, but! It is not near as exiciting as WiFi, or other suggestions

Never the less, lot of things that have been wished for can be delivered(don't count FF at here, this is a great step to that direction thou.).

If tethering will be there too, it will be plus.

Ooops...i see that this is indeed another thread, the pic with the frontal view was the other.
Wow, people are really worked about these pics.

I am really interested in the new standard zoom lens shown on the roadmap...where are the leaked pics for that :'(

In regards to the comment of the K3 being the same size as the maybe coming FF it would make sense for Pentax to make two sizes of dslr cameras, the 50/500 series and the K3/FF to save on costs. The K50 is smaller and still packed with features. Saves on costs and gives purchasers more options. If grips etc was the same for K3 and FF that would be practical for wedding photographers for example.

The slightly larger K3 and a small FF being the same size would make a lot of people happy and until Pentax's volume of sales is larger they should get maximum value of all platforms and accessorites. More sales not less if one thing fits more than one camera model as people are more likely to buy a genuine Pentax product at a higher price if they know it is useful for more than one model

I still think it looks like a polished engineering prototype: designed by engineers, built by engineers, to be used by engineers... for testing and validation of the system. Size and final packaging is not important as functionality. The actual product design is probably hiding somewhere.

I want to know the bit depth for the photosites. Still 14-bit RAW?

The hump is for the new and proprietary Pentax PDIS, the Pixie Dust Injection System. The cover on the end allows it to be refilled.

If you think Limited lens prices are high, wait 'til you find out how much a pixie dust refill is!

I really think the camera looks quite OK... The lens seems way to small in comparison though. We should get clip-on black pipes to shove over our limiteds so they look bigger.

Could be ergonomics as well. I do sometimes hold my camera on the left side, esp with a pancake lens, and this bulbl may enhance the grip holding the camera that way?
That's what I thought, too.
Still ugly-ish, but I can see a reason for it.

(Hiiiii btw, looooong time no see!)

Oh, the dust seals are to keep the pixie goodness in.

Funny, to my eyes it is not ugly...and with that new PDIS it is gonna be even better. BTW, that robust look gives me feel of durability and function, which is not bad in my book.

Size of the prism could be because it is FF-ready?!

Or perhaps making room for a new type of information overlay?
