Precisely! AA is blur at the sub-pixel level, spreading some of the image of what should be in one pixel into adjacent pixels.
If they can vibrate the sensor a sub-pixel distance within the time of a flash, that appears to do what would be needed to reduce moire in all circumstances.
The rumour elsewhere said there would be 3 strengths: off, weak, and strong.
