A new grip? I know someone who will be unhappy about it.

Thanks for the new image, I'd say it looks good (K-5 level good).

Maybe you will be waiting for the pink and orange one when they bring out the mix and match ones

If the video mode works very well then it will be used. Maybe it tells us whose market share Ricoh is going after.

Now for some shots of the bottom, top and the card slots.

Is the top screen bigger, taking up the space where the +- and iso buttons were? Oops, I guess they are still there.

The AF button has moved. I found the K-5 one too close to the green button for my large thumb, and an awkward position when holding it down to af and press the shutter.

What does the right 4 button icon mean? And the bottom right has two icons; one for when viewing photos, the ability to switch cards. What is the icon above it?
Sensor shift ?

I prefer my cameras didn't look like bling from Cheap as Chips although you seem to have no issue with that. Perhaps you'd like to add a few sprinkles of Pixie Dust as well.

It is necessary. Try explaining to your client that they have to repeat their wedding cause your SD card died. At best they will not pay you, at worst they'll try to kill you. The K-3 wants to attract professional photographers? Then it needs to offer features they need, like dual SD slots and good video

Don't be silly. In the old days cameras were silver-black, yet nobody complained it "look like bling from Cheap as Chips".

As I said on another thread, Leica and Fuji manage to pull off the silver and black finish without looking too cheap. I think we need to see it in the flesh, so to speak.

Classic black - you can accessorise it with anything

May be because Leica's "silver" is chromium plated over brass, not painting.

K-5 grows into K-3 (Part 2)

K-5-vs-K3-back

I'm making no claims about accurate scaling, but it is easy to see that the K-3 screen is more "cinema scope" compared to that of the K-5 (II).

Here's the animation of the front again.

K-5-vs-K-3
