Any indications if this is with DC motor?
Otherwise the K-3 headphone jack will mostly reveal the loud focusing. Great lens except noise

LOL. For a long time I have wanted an upgraded version of the 55-300mm. I have been trying to justify the purchase of the 60-250mm and recently I had pretty much resigned myself to it. Now this happens.....

What next? An updated 60-250mm??

I always find this an interesting aspect to global marketing. I would doubt that these leaks will greatly affect Pentax. It is not like Canon or Nikon will rush out to create a 55-300mm lens for K-mount to compete with it.

The extra "WR" is great news.
It was high time for that.

The lens looks great overall, but that red ring...
That looks blindingly red. I'm more of a "understatement" type of guy.

Tell you what CA - when I have brought the new 55-300 for the WR then I can see you my existing 55-300. It is understated

I just wait to see the official announcement, for K-3 and any lenses that will come with it. Looks like the end of ''Pentax is doomed'', and I hope it is.
