Digital Camera Info is still up and running with a nice picture to look at
Don't get me wrong, I'd love it to be true - but when a search shows RiceHi and a couple other forums, and dead image links, I worry!
Still satisfied with the truly-available 50-200WR personally.

The WR is nice but I'm disappointed that they didn't add some sort of macro ability to it. That would make it perfect for me.

Good suggestion. A Raynox 150 on a 55-300 goes beyond 1:1 and no discernible change in IQ.

While I would still prefer that this was built into the lens, this might be a good option I wasn't aware of. Thanks for the tip!

It doesn't take any more time to pop on a Raynox than it does to put a Tamron into Macro mode. The difference is that you can get up to 8X greater magnification.

Okay, I may have to get one... or wait for a 135-400 (or 500 would be awesomesauce) WR from Pentax.

Yes! Hopefully DC.
Waiting for the 18-70 WR DC to go with this. If so, PR have a great mid range zoom lineup.

Ooh look! It says "Pentax" on it! Perhaps Pentax isn't doomed after all.
It's probably just water soluble ink. The first rain storm you use that lens in, and the ink washes right off revealing the "RICOH" right underneath it...
