Thanks a lot Gray. I hope things are well down in Cape Town. I am doing fine. You know how it is. I had to reinstall system software and miss placed passwords yada yada months went by. With all this excitement with the pending release of the K-3 I couldn't resist posting some comments so I finally set up a new password to log in.

I think that for me it will become the silver one if it is not more expensive.

Dislike the silver body alone but, with the battery grip, it's not too bad.

On the Silver body. I think it is great to have such a choice.

I'm not sure Sony 20MP sensor has the performance needed for a high end DSLR.
Cameras using it has 5 FPS or lower frame rate and 1080i video mode.
Frame rate on Sony A58 is 5 FPS, and went down from 10 FPS in A57.

Sony probably is going to replace quite a few cameras in the near future so it might not mean all that much if Pentax K-3 is out a few weeks earlier.
Sony A77, A65 and Nex7 are all over 2 years old, using the old 24MP sensor, and will probably be replaced soon, but Sony might have other new APS-C sensors coming with more than 24MP that they prefer to use in these cameras.
