My second comment may have been unnecessary. In fact, my wife agrees with you. Having said that, do you realize these posts show up on google? Each and every one may live forever and ever.

I'm in IT and this is one of my pet peeves. That is, comments based on guesses as opposed to fact.

And I happened to think the D7100 used a Sony sensor up until a week ago Why? No doubt because I learned of it from some misinformed forum post.
Apology accepted and I have to tell you that after much googling I can find no evidence that the D7100 uses a Toshiba sensor, there is one reviewer who mentions it with no source and some "experts" on dpreview with no source but afaik it is just an opinion. What convinced you?

I googled "D7100 Toshiba" prior to my jerk of a post. I forget where I saw it originally.

Silver or Black, I could go for either... it's the dual-SD card icon on the back (lower right) that has me excited! Hopefully it has the "rolling backup" function that the 645D has...
Yep, glad to finally see this feature. Two thumbs up... one for each card slot!

I like the silver too. What I don't like is having a Pentax for others and a Ricoh for myself (at least as ling as I'm taking photos)

don't forget guys, that the D7100 uses a 24MP sensor without AA
maybe the K3 will be the same?
No-AA might have no AA filter 'standard', but if not it almost certainly will be an option. Good riddance (at 24 MP).

Because the Pentax philosophy as of this moment is APS-C DSLR or die.

Hopefully they have a good plan because the market they are heavily vested in is contracting.

Because that's where the majority of sales are now, and in the immediate future. It's a different view of the world when you're actually in charge of making a success of an engineered product.

Oh of course.
Even many ppl bitch about the current situation, I do support APS-C Priority of Ricoh.
But, yeah, I'm still going to bitch about it...you know, the FF thing.

And wheres the data for that? Acording to latest data the whole camera market is contracting but APS share among DSLR's is constant.

Do you have reliable data splitting the DSLR market between APS-C and smaller and 24x36 and bigger? I would be very very much interested in them.

APS-C appears to be migrating from SLR to mirrorless. Swinging mirrors is pretty old technology don't you think?

Turning wheels is as well, but I don't see many hovercrafts on the road. It's the only solution for a direct optical path in the right frame between photographer and subject.

That's what the MILC propaganda claims, but as soon as you check the facts (e.g. the publicly available CIPA data) it quickly falls apart. Don't trust their claims.
The MILCs aren't gaining any terrain over DSLRs, but remains at about 1/5 of the DSLR market. A migration of DSLRs towards FF would be noticeable, in the average value of DSLRs; there's no such effect.
