Hey guys, any idea about syncro-speed ?? Hope that it will be more than 1/180, and i hope that the new flash system is done to permit HSS easier than before or permit compatibility with some stuff like Odin or PW...

There are lots of ways that the potential hinted at in the specs could be undone through manufacturing QC issues. High-res open-loop AF systems require great precision in the camera body & lens manufacture, alignment & adjustment in the factory. (Just look at the AF array tilt issue Nikon had with the inital D800.)

So the leaks are interesting, but I'll definitely wait to see how well the design has been implemented and the sophistication of the algorithms in the tracking AF, if indeed the K-3 has this.

Nope, everything here, so far, is just wishful thinking and reading between the lines from leaked information.

Well I don't know about that... reading what everyone is saying, there will not be an initial rush. We all seem to be waiting on something or other.

I still think there's something special they're not revealing until Tuesday. I think it has to do with the viewfinder.

Sounds good. I would however like to see real world low-light samples first.

I hope so!

Seems Ricoh has worked through the laundry list of "things that need improved" and checked off a lot of them. We won't know until later how much improvement but it is very nice to know they are either listening or have done their own focus groups. A FF style viewfinder would make another nice surprise.

I hope so. A redesigned DA* 55mm and a big jump forward in high ISO, and I will buy one.

No, seriously; with such a price and such incredible performance, and above all — quality — people will see how pathetic was Fuji to name their camera package "Pro". Or, put all in perspective and see what Oly has to brag about with E-M1. Or what Nikon offers as an entry level FF.

I think many will finally come to common sense. The K-3 will be, by far, the best and most evolved APS-C camera ever made, by any manufacturer, punching well above its weight.

Can't see that happening, as it it determined by the sensor's QE, fill-factor, AA filter & Bayer CFA transmittance/selectivity. The K-5/D7000 has about 46%-48% QE. Max. seems to be about 60% with current technology according to sensorgen.info. The domain expired, but here's an archived version:

Sensorgen - digital camera sensor data

I think the Nikon P330's QE of 75% could be a measurement funny, unless it has wonder filters in its CFA that no one else uses.

At second glace, The P330 has a BSI sensor. It would be hard to implement BSI in an APS-C sized sensor.

Dan.
