The rub may come with the publishing of the full specifications, not just mentioning the highlights.

For example what will be the shot rate in AF.C, rather than AF.S, and in full points tracking mode (assuming you will be able to vary the number of AF points used)? In the K-5, the AF.C continuous shooting rate is noticeably slower in AF.C. With the powerful PRIME III processor, will the K-3 be able to apply lens correction, full AF tracking and still get a really fast AF.C performance at the same time?

I have no idea how I'm going to successfully resist buying a K-3
I bought a K-01 and a Q during the last year and my K-7 is still a damn fine camera, but the build quality, the design and the specs so far are just so exciting!
The K-3 is shaping up to be a real game changer! Good on 'yer Ricoh!

Why are you posting? It's simple. If it's not the camera for you then don't buy it. No-one cares about your negativity.

People who think anti-alias is done by shifting the sensor are on crack. The SR system is for SR.
But it's also used for composition adjustment, horizon adjustment, astro-tracking and dust removal (at least it used to be in older models, and I presume still is).

Wow - HitMan is already complaining about the focus speed of an unreleased camera! How prescient!

Hopefully, if the camera is as technically innovative as it first appears, Ricoh will publish a few technical white papers explaining the features, like Canon has done for its top-end models.

I don't know for this, but i know that Ricoh / Pentax will do some other kind of marketing (in some European countries certainly, for the rest, I don't know) like they did with the Ricoh GR...

12, 14 or 16 Bit Colour?

I'm hoping it's not 12 bit and that perhaps we get a user selective bit depth.

Raw HDR. Only on a tripod, or with frame alignment?

Also, in regards to smartphone interoperability, an optional "FLUCARD" is required. There's an interesting comment on the original site where one poster speculated the possibility of using the phone's display as "variangle" monitor.
I'm not sure that the FLU-CARD broadcasts a LiveView?

I didn't see that either. I also don't see a way to send commands to the camera in their description.

Will the new cam take the old screw drive AF lenses?

Pentax likes to be different. Maybe they can make a Leica knockoff rangefinder for $2000

Yes. It would be insane for Pentax not to.

Is the proposed 24mp sensor supposed to be better than any other 24 mp sensor? The specs mentioned do not really appeal to me other than 24mp which is just fair. If they were sticking with a crop sensor why not make it 32mp - 36mp and be done with it?

It must, because a lot of optics have only screw drive.
