Some info on the "Multi-Pattern Auto White Balance Technology". This is most likely for JPGs only, so of limited use, AFAIC.

I don`t think so, the HDcoating is transparent while the coating on a prism has to be reflective in order to bounce the availeble light as much as possible (at least, that is how I understand it, anyone with better knowledge feel free to correct it)
They do say "improves reflectance" which I would take to mean "increases reflectance" on the reflecting surfaces, rather than "decreases reflectance" on the transmission surfaces (ie increases transmittance on the entry and exit surfaces).

HSS is yber cool on paper, but has some serious limitations.
When using HSS you loose a lot of flash power. I think you are down to 1/8 of full power, maybe even less. This makes it near useless when it comes to killing ambient sun light.
Well those limitation aren't going to be overcome by 1/250 sync speed That's a third stop, then every brand uses HSS for faster shutter speeds. So what's the problem with 1/180th?

Looks like they've brought back support for PEF, in addition to DNG.

They are not all reflective, at least two sides are transparent.

When is the official press release going to be anyway? I was hoping today.

WTF... They once again "forget" WiFi... Then I will continue to take pics of my k-5 screen with the phone and upload them to facebook when I'm out. Welcome to late 2013. When are they going to adopt cheap P&S tech like GPS, NFC and WiFi to dSLRS?

Almost embarrasing to that read you can use the dual slot for slow and expensive eye-fi cards.

Nice camera tho.

you can use for any kind of card...don't need eye fi? why complaining..i use wi fi card with my 645d and is simply awesome, especially for professional working. even for normal people...think of travel you shoot a photo of a native or a person in the street , you can show hm the result and send the photo to him, and be sure he or she will be happy to do more photos.

And that one says "Pentax" on the back? Is it going to say "Ricoh" in different markets or what?

In practice you want as much flash power as you can get, especially when you're using diffusers. I've been in tons of situations where the 1/180 limits my exposures. Using HSS the flash becomes so weak I might not even use it. Getting to 1/250 or heck, 1/200 makes a difference.

It's like when they made DA 35 a 2.4 lens instead of the 2 that actually was the intention of that lens design (the optical formula is almost exactly the same as FA 35). That bit makes a difference

It's nothing compared to the 1/4000 of old day Nikons though. I really wish instead of this AA filter / no AA filter camera versions which is irrelevant for my image making, they make a version with electronic shutter for every camera release. I'd definitely buy the electronic shutter version

Pre-series copies had "PENTAX" under the LCD.

For a mere $100 extra you can buy an all Pentax version. Call it a nostalgia tax .

I think we can ask some enterprising LCD protector maker to make their protective screen with a silkscreen printed "Pentax"
