not according to the specs on the pentax us site
I'm not bothering to check, but is there some confusion here between AF sensitivity and metering sensitivity?

These specs should hold up well even when the Canon 7d Mark II come out next year.

Ironically it's Safox 11 that finally pushes us above 11-AF points.

Fun times Pentax users. Looking forward to see how this guy performs. I do have a birthday coming up and I have a lot of love for myself

With highspeed sync, I don't see why people care about flash sync anymore.. If the K-3 has it on-board, so much the better.

Specifications seem to be incomplete (maybe intentionally until later today or tomorrow). For example, the interfaces are identical to the K-5 II and s except for the change from USB 2 to USB 3. I don't see any mention of this additional port which is rumored to be for headphones. Also, unless I missed it, I don't even see anything about Live View.

And the "Sensor-Shift Shake Reduction with rotational compensation" says: 'TBD'

More power hungry, too. About 20% drop in shot life from the K-5 IIs.

Interesting, while the specs are up, they haven't actually posted a press release. So this hasn't been officially announced yet, which is probably why Adam and DPR haven't posted announcements either. Still under NDA. Poor Adam, he must be bursting at the seams! Scooped by Ricoh Imaging Americas Corp themselves!

HSS is yber cool on paper, but has some serious limitations.
When using HSS you loose a lot of flash power. I think you are down to 1/8 of full power, maybe even less. This makes it near useless when it comes to killing ambient sun light.

Like the Q's HSS? It would be.. near-useless in itself, but using on-board HSS to trigger another flash in that short duration on optical slave mode... (which I tried, and it works!) is cool.

Professional H.264 video

Enhance your video recording experience with full HD movie capture in the H.264 format (60p/50p/30p/24p), also including the ability to switch from still image to video recording with the flip of a dedicated switch. Equipped with a headphone terminal and stereo microphone terminal for external microphone connection. The user can also adjust the audio recording level manually and monitor sound levels during recording.
Now I wonder... do we get manual video controls like the K-01 this time around?

Pentaprism Optical Viewfinder for 100% FOV and .95 magnification

Low profile glass pentaprism viewfinder, with interchangeable focusing screens, achieves a 100% optical field of view for framing accuracy in a highly compact form factor. Treated with a new coating, its glass prism improves reflectance resulting in a brighter viewfinder image.
Does this mean HD coating on the pentaprism?

Looks like they've brought back support for PEF, in addition to DNG.

I don`t think so, the HDcoating is transparent while the coating on a prism has to be reflective in order to bounce the availeble light as much as possible (at least, that is how I understand it, anyone with better knowledge feel free to correct it)
