Due to the cameras discontinued status, prices on new K10D's Body only have ranged from $495.00 USD to $525.00 USD Some with Kit lens I have seen for $549.00. the price will continue to drop on the K10D because of the release of the K200D and the K20D. Look what happened to the K100D. It's not because they were not great cameras but due to the fact Pentax has to play the new release game with all the rest of the players.
Between now and early August (if it last that long) will be the best time to buy the K10D and the K100d super. They are fantastic cameras and worth every cent spent on them.
I'm not into the megapixle game but maybe one day camera manufactures will be able to just upgrade the hardware and firmware to add the new features (would be nice) It's tough now a days to purchase a top of the line camera with out having it replaced a month later by something new. But we all need to find out our comfort zone and what is the best camera to use for the way we shoot, and what we shoot.
I'll stay with my k100D and my istDL for a few more years. But I know very soon I may be able to talk a friend into selling me one of his K10D's for a good price. Since he now has two k10D's and a new k20D. I think we may be able to come to an agreement. Until then I will continue to use my two great pentax cameras and continue to learn more about photography and lighting.
I don't want to be a pro just shoot like one.

Sure. Continuous AF (AF-C) will do just fine, as long as the light isn't too low, or the speed too fast, etc.

I got mine from Roberts Imaging. There is a link above in this thread. I actually live about 45 minutes from the store in Carmel, IN, so I went to the store to get it. Great people to deal with and I got it for $599.97!
