So, I was fawning over a pre-production K3 today at my local camera shop, and discussing things with the Pentax rep; although I couldn't get any specifics, I was able to ascertain that there will be another introduction before the year is out, which wouldn't impact a K-3 purchasing decision.

So maybe that wide-angle zoom after all!

I'd expect two. Pentax Ricoh seems to be releasing something every month or so, I would doubt if they would stop now. What I have no idea. Lenses no doubt, updates to the current line, maybe some new ones. Maybe a new body, an update to the K5II, keeping a $900-1000 body in the lineup.

Maybe a software upgrade to go up to a speed of 1/250 with flash, for the K3. Or an extention tube.

Or... maybe the telephoto zoom out to 370 or 380 ?? But a teleconvertor would sell like hot cakes!

The Tokina 12-28 has been out for a while I think. Time for Pentax to bring out their version as they have I am told a collaboration of some sort with them. Tokina had the 12-24 in the past. Hopefully its a WR version.

The new "trans-standard" zoom (16-80, 17-82, 16,5-77,5, ... or whatsoever) will be announced before end of year

I seriously hope so. I can't see myself ever owning a lens bigger than my DA*300, so a weather resistant, SDM compatible 1.4x teleconverter would be awesome.
