A CEO does not waste words when presenting business strategy to the investment community. Miura is serious about Pentax cameras.
Yeah, relative to its tiny size in the whole Ricoh organisation, Pentax/Ricoh Imaging does seem to get more than its weight in mentions, especially specifically by name. Much of it though is the security camera business, which I assume they see as a huge growth market - if every city in the world became like London with all its CCTV cameras, not to mention all the increasing private/business surveillance, I'm not surprised they would be viewing Pentax as a potential gold mine.
So forget iPhones and Flickr, soon the most photos/images/video taken every day in the world by far will be by Pentax cameras!
