As much as I would love to have the K-3 Silver Ed, I've realize that I need a black one for work. My Silver K-5 need to be in my collectors shelf not on my work bag because i hate to see it scratch. I'll probably end up buying another K-5 IIs...waiting for Black Friday!!

Is the silver finish just paint (a painted black version), or is it actually bare metal?

Well, i dunno because i use my K-5 silver too preciously to get a chance to let you know

Otherwise, the SR logo is chrominated on the K-5, not goldy...

at B&H mine is still saying "On Order" … I preordered within about 10 min of the published announcement here. Maybe B&H are still getting their shipments in? Hopefully soon!
