Yes for street and what ever else you shot at that focal. Don't know If I understand correctly, but It was not my point. Was referring to feel of those lenses in one lens. And coverage of wide range of lenses. It is not so odd range, for me.

If this limited will be true and delivers from WO, it will be great alternative for many lenses.

Oh, and I do know that 28 has been popular focal. I have many versions of 28 mm lenses

FA 31 and 43? I doubt that, with a sluggish aperture compare to the FA's, It's only the miniscule size is it's selling point, I wonder if if I should start looking on Fuji for street shooting. :-)
20/2.8 sounds like a street lens for sure and it being WR almost sells it to me by itself!

You already have that lens you described though, it's called 18-55 WR

Can't fight physics I think, 18-55 is as small as it's going to be already. I think this lens is not meant to be DA 15 replacement, but as a single lens solution for people that usually carry DA 21 and DA 40
Also 35/2.4.

I'm wondering how much it will cost. Judging by the recently revamped DA Limiteds, it's certainly not going to be cheap! I wouldn't mind if it was in the £900 to £1,000 range as long as it performed like it belonged there.

I bet this isn't going to cost less than $1000.

I sure hope not, but fear that you are right.

For that money you can buy a roundtrip to many places in Asia where you'll probably get more interesting images than if you buy this lens and stay at home (just talking about where I live though)

Then Ricoh can keep the lens. I certainly won't be buying it and will stick with my trusty FA 20-35/4. $1000 is definitely not worth the money.

They finally get this series right. Now we need ALL focal lengths covered like this.

Superb. Nice job, Pentax. The Leica of Japan. Except, of course, Leicas aren't WR.

Cheers,
Cameron

Did anyone notice that on the new lens roadmap, the DA teleconverter changed to DA instead of DA* (if I remember correctly)?

Where I live, you can't get even far with 1000 €. Or for one week to somewhere warm. +expences. But with that money you can have something this nice to look every day for many years...something to look at dark winter months
