Amazon already has some amazing deals on things. They've been doing Black Friday all week. You do want to check the warehouse guys, seriously. If every cent I own wasn't going to fix my freakin bathtub on Monday I'd so be blowing money on a certain rather flashy K-30. Sub $400 deals on some of them. GO!!!!

Yeah, I knew about that one. Adam said B&H would have a "lot better" deal on it.

I didn't see any sub-$400, but I did see some listed at pretty good prices.

Adorama is definitely live, just picked up my first DSLR, the K-50 with 18-55wr for 546. Now I can participate instead of lurking.

Just picked up the k5II with the SMC DA 18-135MM lens kit, courtesy of the deals page. Just a bummer that I have to wait until Monday to get it.

There's always the option of buying one used.

Not really.. Wanted a new with warranty and new"ish" SDM motor.. Used ones could be models with SDM issues and only a few month warranty.

Could be. But you can also convert them to screwdriven the lens if the SDM was to fail.

Have researched in-depth the whole SDM issue. Been on fence for months. Already know screwdriver fix but not trying to hack it. A new working model with warranty is my ideal.
