....and here I was hoping for a digital LX - even a mockup like they had for the 645D would have been nice.

But still wanted to and it gave everybody hope they would and they got trashed because they didn't.

You can't afford a Golden LX-D, they know that at Ricoh!

I already own a 645D and Leica S2, so a gold LX-D wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

Your arms would stretch from the weight of lugging around a LX-D in solid gold.

I guess you're just joking, but in case you didn't know: The golden LX is an actual working camera (it's gold-plated).

The biggest problem of lugging around a golden LX is what it does to your credibility

That (Salon de la Photo, Paris).
That's in Salon de la Paris?

Hmmm... What's the purpose of Ricoh/Pentax displaying the old Pentax LX? Is it a hint they're going to make a retro Pentax DSLR (as what Mr. Asahi Man told earlier)?

Probably to show the history off the company. The Salon is not so much a tradeshow, more off an exhibition, with historic camera's, photocollages, shows and brands showing their new gear. The show is not so big, but many visitors (not me this year).

I'd be all over that gold LX, as long as it doesn't say Ricoh on it. Or on the box.

I was joking. I thought it would be obvious based on that colossally trollish K-3 thread and the indisputable truth that the gold camera is ridiculous.
