Sandy, I'm curious to know if you see this lens fitting into your concert lens kit and how you'd use it?
I will take some convincing before it replaces my DA*16-50, but I would certainly try it out.
I see it as more my daily walkaround fun lens, with the DA15 and FA77

Looks like a nice lens. Wonder how the silver looks on a K-3 silver.

Hopefully you can put 49mm filters between the lens hood and the lens...

Andi, the Leica tri-elmar is arranged that way because of the cams in the lens and how they bring up the bright lines in the finder. Leica M cameras viewfinder is above and to the left of the lens(from the photos perspective). They come up in pairs: 35-135, 50-75, and 28-90 in the standard M6, M7, MP and M9(I think in the case of the M9). That lens moves it's focal length the same direction as the bright line preview lever does on the front of the camera(correct me if I'm mistaken, been a few years). So it made it easier to acclimate to.

It's ok for all viewers.
Looks purely consensual and is a male-female union.

I guarantee the kids will be beautiful.

If you must give it a rating, make it "Safe for all ages up to YYY" where YYY is the minimum age you need to be in your country to get a credit card.

It says ø55mm on the front of the lens, so I would guess no.

So does this mean the ultimate walkaround combo could end up being the K-01 + 20-40mm?

The mere thought makes my fingers tingle and my wallet cower in fear.

And the 02 on the Q.

If you really want to see odd behavior on a "zoom" lens,
how about tele in between wide and normal :
Extraterrestrial lens, not an oddity

That really makes sense actually, thanks for the explanation! One of these days I should get one myself.

The K-01 is not weatherproofed but the lens is, although not much walking-around happens during hurricanes and blizzards. It might have a nice aesthetic look to it.

That is correct. I was referring exclusively to compactness, image quality, and variable focal length.
