What I was thinking too.

So this means that it bigger then the K-01 mount-plate wich is 65mm.

How about a Silver DA 20-40 on a Silver K-3, wouldn't that look awesome.
Hello Ron... I value your opinion on gear and technique and, considering B&H is offering the 20-40 for $300 US off, what is your gut feeling about this lens. I've read everything from "it's fantastic" to "there are quality control issues" to "vignetting and poor corner clarity at certain apertures." So, with that being said, even at a discount, is this lens worth buying?

I've been wondering this as well, thinking that it would have to have a price reduction at some point, ever since its introduction. Is it actually just poor testing or poor quality? From what I've read and viewed so far, I get the sense that it should be more like a 22-37?

The objective, numerical tests on Lenstip/Optyczne indicate a sharp lens,
even though the subjective verbiage reveals a tightwad's reluctance to pay for a good lens.

BTW, the 20-40 designation isn't just nominal.

Certainly there have been weak copies that should not have passed quality control,
but I don't think the people complaining about the price would be ready
to pay for a Zeiss level of inspection and rejection.
